4. How we collect personal information

We may collect personal information:

Directly from you, including when you submit a form, contact us, list an Opportunity or request partnership information.

From your organisation, where another representative provides your information for legitimate business purposes.

From rights holders, agents or agencies, where they identify you as an appropriate contact or representative.

Through Pivot Connect, including website interactions and enquiries.

From publicly available sources, such as organisation websites and legitimate professional or business sources, where permitted by law.

From service providers, where necessary to operate our website and services.

5. Why we process personal information

Pivot Lab may process personal information for purposes including:

  • operating Pivot Connect

  • displaying and administering sponsorship Listings

  • responding to enquiries

  • connecting Brands with Rights Holders or their authorised representatives

  • facilitating sponsorship introductions

  • identifying which Opportunity generated an enquiry

  • maintaining records of introductions and referrals

  • communicating with users

  • administering commercial relationships

  • managing rights-holder and agency agreements

  • providing customer or marketplace support

  • improving Pivot Connect

  • maintaining website security

  • preventing misuse or fraud

  • maintaining business and financial records

  • complying with contractual obligations

  • complying with applicable law

  • establishing, exercising or defending legal rights

  • compiling aggregated, anonymised market insights that do not identify any individual or organisation

This is particularly important for Pivot Connect because an enquiry may need to be associated with the specific sponsorship Opportunity from which it originated.

6. Lead attribution and introductions

Pivot Connect operates as a sponsorship discovery and introduction marketplace.

When you enquire about a sponsorship Opportunity, we may record information including:

  • the Opportunity concerned

  • the date of the enquiry

  • the enquiring organisation

  • the person making the enquiry

  • the relevant Rights Holder or Agency

  • subsequent communications or introductions relevant to that enquiry

This information may be used to facilitate the introduction and maintain an appropriate record of the origin of a commercial relationship.

Where Pivot Lab has a separate commercial agreement with a Rights Holder or Agency, these records may also be relevant to determining whether an introduction or commercial relationship originated through Pivot Connect.

7. Sharing information between marketplace participants

An important function of Pivot Connect is connecting parties interested in sponsorship opportunities.

If a Brand requests partnership details, relevant information may therefore be shared with the applicable:

  • Rights Holder

  • authorised representative

  • sponsorship agent

  • agency

  • other party responsible for the Opportunity

Similarly, information provided by Rights Holders or Agencies may be shared with interested Brands where appropriate.

Information submitted in a sponsorship brief may likewise be shared with suitable Rights Holders or Agencies to identify matching Opportunities.

We will not sell personal information to third parties.

Information is shared only where reasonably necessary for operating the marketplace, facilitating an introduction, providing a requested service, meeting legal obligations or another lawful purpose.

8. Confidential opportunities

Some sponsorship Opportunities may be designated:

  • confidential

  • restricted

  • price on application

  • commercially sensitive

  • subject to a non-disclosure agreement

Pivot Connect may require additional information about an interested party before releasing confidential information.

Where appropriate, information may only be disclosed after approval by the relevant Rights Holder or Agency or after appropriate confidentiality arrangements have been completed.

You should not provide unnecessary personal information about third parties.

18. Children

Pivot Connect is a commercial sponsorship marketplace and is not intended to provide services directly to children.
